Warning: This blog is about internal cleansing. If you are sensitive to this concept skip this blog and wait for the next one …

A hundred years ago internal cleanliness of our bodies was taken very seriously. Sadly, today most people’s reaction to internal cleaning procedures is horror. Well I am glad that you have read this far, because it means you haven’t been put off yet and you may feel you are up to doing something really powerful for your health!

When eating high proportions of raw food as a way of life, there comes a point where, if you haven’t spring cleaned your insides, it is more than likely your energy and vitality will not be as high as it used to be as your body is detoxing and it is all building up in your gut, unable to get out ’cause you haven’t cleared the way.

I had dabbled with cleansing my colon. I had done the ‘Blessed Herbs’ cleanse that had been recommended by friends, but personally without significant results. I had got myself a diy enema kit but not used it much. So, until I got a feeling like someone had poured concrete into my tummy, I didn’t really take it seriously. I had known that at some point I would have to take internal cleansing seriously – and that moment had come. So I booked my first colon hydrotherapy session. I must say that apprehensive as I was, it was none of the things I feared it might be. I went to Hazel Radford in Barnstaple for the session and she was very considerate and made it all very easy and comfortable. She could tell some things about my health from the session, which was also useful.

At the end of the session Hazel recommended that I do a ‘Liver and Gall Bladder Cleanse’,which is cleansing one step deeper, and gave me instructions on how to do it, and recommended that I go back for another colon hydrotherapy when I had done it.

I have only recently been getting to know much about gallbladders. The most I had known about them before was that some people had them taken out! The gallbladder stores bile, that is produced by the liver and is released when we eat fatty foods in order to digest them and to regulate fat levels in the blood. It also plays a part in digesting protein foods and calcium. It’s action removes toxins from the liver and helps maintain acid/alkaline balance in the digestive tract. The workings of the gallbladder affect every organ in the body and cleansing the bile duct from gallstones is said to be one of the most important and powerful procedures to regain or improve health. That persuades me it is worth a try!

So, last week I did it. I did a liver and gall bladder cleanse. I had watched the videos of Angela Stokes doing this on YouTube. She finds it soooooo distasteful to drink the epsom salt solutions that I was really worried about taking them, but whilst they are not pleasant, I found them okay.

On this cleanse you add a litre of apple juice into your diet for a few days to soften the stones and then take epsom salt solutions to open the bile ducts and then take a drink that releases the gallstones from your gall bladder. I was not expecting much, but it was incredible! I released 42 significant gallstones as well as dozens more small ones!!! There were two HUGE ones. One was about 2cm long and about 1.5cm round!!! Eeeeekkk! How did THAT get out? Especially as it was all completely painless!

Well I am very glad that I got these fellows out of my system and am off back to Hazel. The recommendation is that you do this cleanse regularly until no more stones come out, then just once a year. So I’ll be doing it again soon.

If you would like to read in more depth about liver and gallbladder cleansing, the book to get is ‘The Amazing Liver and Gallbladder Cleanse’ by Andreas Moritz.

I put a nice photo of a beautiful magical pool in the crook of a tree in as I decided the one of gallstones was maybe a step too far!!

Here’s to your good health!
