Lisa Holly (23)Lisa’s love of fresh food goes back to her childhood when her grandparents nurtured in her a love for food fresh from the garden.

Later, after a career in training and development, teaching personal development and management skills, Lisa moved to the seaside in Devon to a run a hotel and catering business with her husband.

Soon afterwards they did a ‘Love Your Liver’ detox and loved the feeling it gave and then implemented a 50% raw diet. However, after some years, the raw portion of their diet decreased and Lisa decided she was not satisfied with less vibrant, and looking for answers, found juice feasting and the 100% raw vegan diet.  Overnight she changed to a 100% raw vegan diet and transformational results followed quickly. Within a few weeks she was feeling better than before and filled with energy.

These changes were obvious to all and they wanted to know her secret. So, In 2007 Lisa started a one day introduction to raw food course, which has run ever since.

Her reputation spread and in 2009 she started a successful series of monthly raw dinner parties, bringing raw eating and living to a new audience. In 2010 she founded the raw food company Raw Lisa® and produced a range of raw bread replacements and the first commercially available Raw Christmas Pudding. These grabbed headlines and appeared in publications such as Vogue and Devon Life. Kate Magic said, “Raw Lisa makes great crackers” and “look at her Christmas Pudding! Amazing… we can tell U, it tastes as good as it looks.” Get Fresh magazine said, “If you want to lay down a really special treat on the Christmas table, this is your best bet!” In 2012, unable to find a business partner she stopped manufacturing and became the Production Manager for Raw Living

Lisa has also worked with Yeotown Detox Retreats who in 2012 were voted the best Spa Retreat in the UK in the Conde Nast Traveller‘s Awards as their Nutrition Maeen.

Along with Oona Corke, a third generation yoga teacher, Lisa founded Pura Life Retreats to run supportive and regenerative detox and wellness programmes such as Yoga and Juice Feasting immersion programme, Yoga and Raw Living Food Retreat, and One Day Detoxes in London.

Over the years Lisa has spoken on raw food and healthy eating at many events, coached people to achieve healthier lifestyles and inspired them to seek out nutritious food. Lisa said, “I want to encourage people to eat closer to nature – it’s what we are designed to do”. Her approach is shaped by her experience as a healer and shamanic guide as well as having and trained in nutrition.
